Inter-College Creative Writing Contest organized at SCD Govt. College

Ludhiana: 19th April, 2023: (Kartika Singh/Arth Prakash):: 

The Postgraduate Department of English, SCD Government College Ludhiana, organised an inter-college creative writing contest under the able guidance of Dr. Kajla, head of the department.

The participants were given 2 broad themes: Dreams & Colours. They displayed their creativity in the form of essay, story, poem, and play. They were judged by retired teachers, Prof Neelam Nayyar and Prof Anil Trikha.

The first position was bagged by Naveta (MA1 Eng, SCD Govt College). The second prize  was secured by Ryna Dev (MA1 Eng, Khalsa College for Women), and Hrishita Arora (BA 3 Govt College for Girls) bagged 3rd prize. Ananya Dhand (BA 1 KCW) got the consolation award. They were also given cash prizes of Rs. 750/-, 500/-, 250/- & 200/-  respectively.

Congratulating all participants, the principal, Prof. Dr Tanvir Likhari said such contests boost the morale of students and increase their confidence.
